Using an iPad with an External Monitor is Amazing

Using an iPad with and external monitor used to be a hot mess, but now it is amazing! At this point a lot of people could use an iPad as their only computer!

I use my iPad as a secondary display when I need multiple displays. I prefer to use Duet Display instead of Stage Manager or Sidecar. Plus, it works well when using my Windows laptop as a second display

0:01 I turned on Stage Manager on my iPad 12.9 5th g and it worked yesterday, which seemed to enable to iPad to monitor connection. Today I only get an error message on the monitor : No HDMI signal. I have tried connecting with usb c to hdmi cable direct and through a hub which provides charging port and standard usb port. They all worked before. What can have changed?

Can you get the iPad on a display/large touchscreen or tv AND projector at same time?

Also how can I get iPad directly into projector with hdmi and not airplay? I’ve tried hdmi converter and good cable but won’t show on projector

Hi, I've tried connecting my m1 ipad pro to an external display (via hdmi), 2k Phillips monitor. but I got a blurry display on it. do you have any idea to solve it? currently using ipados beta 16.2. thanks.

this is so strange.
i downloaded the latest update on my ipad, hooked it up with an adapter (indeed HDMI to usb-c), switched on stage manager and it does not come right up.
still only mirroring.

Thank you for creating this content. I am a professional accompanist and will be using an external monitor in conjunction with a sheet music app called ForScore. It's basically a glorified PDF reader however, it was designed specifically for and by musicians. You can turn pages with either a foot pedal, unique mouth or head gesture (when using ForScore Pro version) or by simply touching the iPad's screen. With most of the sheet music scores I use for performance groups having most times a larger footprint than 8 1/2" x 11", an external monitor will help. I'll be able to view two pages at once. Cheers!

For being able to charge and display at the same time, do you have to use a Thunderbolt hub or is a regular USB-C hub with PD sufficient?

I’ve been using the beta for about a month now and what really annoys me is there is not display scaling on the external monitor. I have it hooked up to a 48” OLED Monitor and it’s comical how big everything is. I’m hoping they add scaling like they do for the internal display.

These looks an ideal, and cheaper route, for editing YouTube videos and using an ipad as a computer. Can you also have screens, such as Netflix, playing on the monitor, and a different application showing on the ipad screen?

Why is the keyboard needed, is that purely a requirement to get the monitor to in effect become like Samsung DeX?
