Remember the game Super Sonic by Sega? Yeah, it was a cult classic.

I realized that you can ACTUALLY use your Smartphone or Tablet as a dedicated "netbook."
It may not work on every USB device in existence, but the basics such as Storage medias and a keyboard is a very good sign! :D

The PS3 controller and USB are really great reasons to get this, especially for extra media on the go with a smartphone and full size games on an android tablet. I hope Sony is taking notes, maybe a Playstation tablet under $300.00 that does everything. USB, MicroSD, and other goodies.

Connect the Android to a USB hub & you can connect a USB mouse & keyboard at the same time to your phone. This could be a practical application if you wanted to type a lengthy document using your phone.

I'm using USB OTG right now. Works great! If you plug in a POWERED USB Hub you can do 2 things. In this case, a usb mouse and keyboard.

that's sonic CD, not "super sonic" that's not even a game

You can actually get OTG adapters without the extra cable length.
One cool thing I use OTG for is a USB to serial cable, so I can connect to console ports on networking equipment (need an app for the terminal)

This is great news cause I'm developing a platform game for the Android. All though the virtual controls work as well as they possibly can, nothing beats the feel of real buttons under your thumb. Fortunately my game supports a controller for when I test it on my laptop.

super sonic? you can see clearly below every app icon you can see the name of the app there in every android device. it's not that hard to know a game's name. it's sonic cd.

Where does the phone get 5v for driving USB applications? I haven't heard of step-up converters inside the phone. All you can get is 3.7v

Now this, was epic. Hope it works on all phones out there.

practical uses for the mouse is what I now need it for.. I broke my screen so touch no longer works, so now I cannot unlock my phone.  the mouse now allows me to unlock my phone and access it so I can clean it off before sending it in for exchange.
