Pretty cool watching the belts slow down, the car change in idle and see the tensioners tighten. Cars are beautiful in their own ways.

You can adjust the hub clutch by removing 1wasser ..to be close enough to clutch pulley

Sounds like all subarus. Those compressors are noisy. This one sounds like its potentially over oiled.

Did you replace the whole AC compressor or just the clutch?

This is exactly what my wrx is doing, do I replace the clutch or compressor?

Seems like the clutch is slipping. You can pop that plate off with a tool and take out a shim. Check the gap after, should be somewhere in the .3 - .6 gap between the clutch.

Hey.
I'm getting a similar sound in my car ac compressor. I just got my compressor replaced 2 months back but the sound still exists.
The noise come when I start the compression and when I accelerate the car.
And now it stopped cooling my car too. 😢
Could you please let me know what could be the possible reason for that and what should I do.

Love from India

Probably didn’t instal no pag oil in the new ac compressor. Sometimes those ac compressor come pre oiled from the manufacturer but sometimes it isn’t necessarily to the specs of your vehicle.

Ahhh😭😭😭 if you stop like now you probably can get away with just an ac flush then re oil then recharge!! Oh my that is not good to hear… I saw sparks on the first so maybe you need a whole system replacement like evaporator, expansion valve, compressor, dryer, and condenser. I hope not man that is spendy!!! I’d maybe start with a system flush “that means use the ac solution for flushing” then put under vacuum over night (IF) no leaks. Then make sure you know which oil your system takes they’re all different! My DD16 Detroit Diesel takes pag oil. Either ND-8 or PAG 41 I think!! Either 41 or 46 I’d have to look at the can. But that oil system change can fix your problem without much cost if the damage has not increased since the noise started. Just trying to help :) good luck!
