This documentary made me cry. I’m taking on this challenge of memorising the Quran. Can’t keep telling the kids to finish something I never even attempted. So I’m going to go on this journey of memorising the Quran.

On my 14th juzz memorizing the Qur'an. Just over one year I started memorizing, in sha Allah am gonna finish the end of 2021. This motivated me.

There was a story of an old woman who was Muslim, she was around her 70’s, however could not read, understand neither write Arabic. However her desire to learn Arabic never stopped. However, she used to listen oftentimes. One day she requested her son to teach her, she started by listening to the name of Allah and how to write it. Moreover, she started to learn the Arabic alphabet and progress was rising day by day, month by month and year by year, until by the age of 75, she memorised the WHOLE Quran! She now had passed away (May Allah have mercy on her) Ameen, and her two sons are now great scholars of Islam.

Started my journey a month ago from suratul Nas, i have memorized 6 hizb now .
I pray Allah grant me the opportunity, strength, willingness and health to be able to finish memorizing the Quran.
