Yeah, I bought the Bluray of his Slinger cut after learning about it from YOU! It was terrible, JCVD and Sheldon saved the movie with their OG theatrical cut! I would use BOTH cuts in a film class to highlight/contrast terrible decisions that can make or break a movie, so it's definitely instructive!

The opening sequence of this movie is one of the best 80's things ever. The rest of the movie really tails off after that. Fun watch nowadays anyways.

I used to hate this movie as a kid since I was just getting into film critique for the first time. Glad I grew out of that and can enjoy things for what they are now

I have the uncut "Slinger" version on an import German blu-ray, with the missing scenes cut in. I enjoy owning it and it's interesting to see, but it's obviously not an ideal experience and I prefer just watching the theatrical blu-ray from Shout Factory.

I'm like the only person that likes Slinger more than the cannon/jcvd cut. Even though it is only a rough cut I honestly think it flows better, the story is not necessarily more compelling but, feels a little better, and more consistent without all the flashback bouncing around. Soundtrack is also more to my liking. Still either cut is good
