It's great when you can't swap out a word because it's a movie title, so you just have to describe Interstellar (or just list the genre and cast because you haven't seen it yet) to get a ticket.

I used to answer the main phone lines at a hospital. During Christmas, we were required to answer the phone exactly like this : "Happy Holidays from Heartland Health, how may I direct your call?" By the time I got home each day, I had no H's left in my vocabulary. I would jokingly call my son "arry" instead of "Harry" 🤣🤣

I’ve been living with a TBI for 26 years and Drew made me realize a huge issue I didn’t even know was going on. I was in a bad car wreck. The car hit a light pole on the freeway which caused it to split in half. I was tossed out of the car when my seatbelt ripped and my head slammed into the road. I had three brain hemorrhages and suffered a lot of brain damage. Most people never know I have a TBI until I tell them cause my major issues are visual spatial difficulties. I basically see like drew talks. There’s a lot of things I avoid in life because it’s just too hard to do now. Like Drew said he finds way to work around words that he struggles with I do the same with all kinds of stuff and he finally helped me to understand why I do it to the extant that I do. Thanks a lot for explaining the struggles of TBI with amazing humor.

Wow. I'm 29 and remember seeing your videos as a teen. Your stutter has gotten IMMENSELY better. I didn't even realize it was you at first.

Any man that can laugh at his faults is always an accomplished man. Just something I've noticed.

F*ckn Fantastic
And yes
I studdered as a child after falling backwards off a swing and hitting my head on the pavement. I was at daycare and the teachers didn't tell my mother what happened. And I couldn't tell her anymore than 🤕 "ouchie" and I showed her my goose egg on the back of my head. It took years of speech therapy to speak clearly and not studder. I sounded deaf to other people for years also. It was a nightmare being a child. I can't imagine it happening as an adult. You are such a strong person for being able to overcome not only the stigma but to grow professionally and personally. And yes it's a thing to try to think of other words or phrases instead of the words or phrases that give you trouble. Lol
I didn't think of the F*CK OFF thing. Lol
God bless

I love your story but I don’t know what caused my stutter. I had it rarely when I was a kid. I’m in my late 20’s and when I’m nervous it’s pops out, it’s hard to deal with, I punched a friend recently on the arm because he was laughing. I to of why I punched him and said”you’re supposed to be my friend, please don’t laugh.” He understood that it’s not funny to make fun of me….. he hasn’t done it since and it shows that a true bond was formed of words. I didn’t punch him hard but enough to make him stop laugh.

You know i had a bad stutter after my car accident in 2008. I wasn't sure if it would ever go away to be honest but it eventually did. I do notice if I get overwhelmed though sometimes it will pop its head out. But most of the time I'm pretty good.

I've been watching your videos for a couple years now, and you have obviously been putting in a lot of work, because the intensity and frequency of stuttering (at least in your videos) have decreased dramatically.

Now it's at a point where you almost have to SAY something before someone would realize you have a stutter in the first place.

So idk, just thought I'd let you know, it's inspiring how far you've come, and I wish you well going forward
