I'm a single mom of 4 of low income. I get paid on the 20th of each month and the end of the month each month. This month is the FIRST time in my whole life (I'm 36) that I had money in my account going into the next pay check!!! It's only $188, which may seem small to you, but for me this is life! lol. I am a recovering shopping addict. I would shop when bored, or buy my kids things all the time. But a few months ago I made a VERY conscious decision to budget my month and pay attention to what I'm spending my money on. I decided that I want to save money to try and go on our first family vacation to Orlando (We are from Canada). So I just keep asking myself and the kids (when they want stuff) "do you want or do you want to go to Orlando?" They tell me Orlando lol. So thank You do more than you know :)

I'm happy for these videos because you show where you make adjustments. I remember on a Money Monday call I believe someone asked a question about budgeting and your response was along the lines that each month isn't perfect. You learn from the previous month and make adjustments. I realized that with July I made an error and now I know that for may I need to start tracking my expenses. Not doing that I forgot about certain bills that were automated. I also separated my bill account and spending account but would forget sometimes. The mistakes help you learn. Thanks for sharing/teaching.
