Part 4: Depth of Field

Are full frame DSLR cameras really better than digital crop sensor cameras? To put it simply, no. Each sensor type has advantages and disadvantages that shooters must analyze to determine which is the better choice for them.

In this video series, I aim to clarify the real differences between full frame DSLR cameras and digital crop DSLRs. I'll address the topics of price, size, wide angle capabilities, telephoto capabilities, depth of field, maximum ISO settings, image resolution, and image quality. With a full rundown of these topics spread throughout 7 videos in this series, you'll be able to decide for yourself whether you should use a full frame or digital crop DSLR.

I'm so glad that I came across this channel. I have gone through a lot of vedio on you tube but the way u explain is wonderful. Your idea of breaking it into many pieces is amazing and it makes things easier for us to understand. I have subscribed and look forward to your upcoming vedio. Wish u a lot of success ahead and thank u for ur vedio.

I have a Canon 60D . My first camera with a 18-135 mm stock lens. Trying to buy a 50mm lens 1.8 stm for night shooting. What are your thoughts?

So Full Frame are better for landscape and less for zoom (in terms of price of gear) but since for landscape I like more DOF I find myself stucked in a loop, same for zoom

It needs to convert the aperture by the crop factor to get the same result (sdf)

you counter your own arguement here... the wide angle lens both are even score because "you only have to change lens on the cropped version to a 10mm" but with telephoto whoa you score full frame down because "youd have to change lens to 600mm". of course you can replace both wide and tele to the same shot on both formats using different lenses so you cant mark in favour for one and against on the second.

All these could have been one video...

This only really applies if you the same lens on both cameras.
