Nicholas Alston, 27, earns $51,000 a year. He splits his time between Canton, Michigan, where he is based as a flight attendant, and Columbus, Ohio, where he opened a restaurant during the pandemic. Alston always dreamed of opening a food business, and by mid-2020 he had enough saved from his full-time job to launch his ghost kitchen, Clutch Handheld Breakfast. In August 2021, Alston temporarily closed his restaurant to increase his flying hours and save money for the next phase of his business.

This is an installment of CNBC Make It's Millennial Money series, which profiles people across the globe and details how they earn, spend and save their money.

He's a hustler with a business, a paying job, investments, and savings. Man is on the road going ABOVE his million-dollar figure. Hope he succeeded with all of his ventures.

This guy is incredible! Love your drive and ambition especially at 27 years old. I worked with 27 year olds that still lived at home, nothing wrong with that but barely want to work or pay any bills, but they buy Gucci shoes 🙄 your hustle is real and I wish you nothing but success! You’re going to be very wealthy if you stay on this path.

Flight attendant, running a ghost kitchen, flipping items on ebay and in the future wants to have investment properties... Can't knock the hustle. Keep it up!

You can probably go out right now get a job cooking making 65K I year. The industry is crippled and this seems very risky coming from a guy who's had 2 food trucks in the past.

I live in Toronto, Canada but work at Pearson Airport and working in that industry honestly is too much fun. Nicholas is an extremely hardworker and I respect that a lot.

This guys seems like a genuinely cool guy. I didn’t realize flight attendants could make around $69 an hour. Love the entrepreneurial spirit too!

Very relatable and I can stan that. His parents raised a good one. I hope he’s thinking about generational wealth with his girlfriend, hopefully his wife soon.

I hope the Columbus, OH community shows up in DROVES at his kitchen/restaurant/food truck just to support this hard-working man making an honest living.

No idea why this year old video popped up on my feed... however, while watching this I just kept thinking "man, this story sounds so familiar". then once I heard the 'food truck' part I had to look it up and sure enough this guy was on fairly early Financial Audit before it even hit 50k subscribers. Pretty wild connections. Also, really cool to see more of the food truck business side of things!

now is the perfect time to get into this industry. This use to be a selective business but I have seen that many airlines are hiring flight attendants! Great story.

Would love to see updates on stories like these a few years down the line, based on his hard-work and dedication, he'll be killing it!
