The car mode looks better than robot mode. You had me hooked when you mentioned the spaghetti.

I noticed a lot of differences in joint tolerances between your version and mine. You say the head on yours pops off easily, while mine hasn't come off once, even when I was fumbling through the transformation without instructions (something that, to this figure's credit, I managed). And I can see the big shoulder problem in yours. On my copy, the transformation swivel joint is far stronger than the shoulder ratchets, so, while they don't lock into any particular position, once they're set, they don't budge unless I want them to - and even then, it takes a bit of effort. I hadn't noticed the way his tires split ever so slightly, though, so thanks for pointing that out! I do agree that he's not as well-done as Bee, but where Bee is a nightmare to transform, Barry is actually very intuitive and enjoyable. His best quality, though, is his balance. The proportions and overall shape SHOULD make him very topheavy, but there are some extremely clever uses of diecast that actually make him difficult to tip over, even when I'm trying to knock him down!

Really appreciate when you take a look at a figure you are otherwise not interested in. Always enjoy your reviews.

Have you never heard of the Long Arm of the Law?

It's fine. :P I really liked Barricade from the 2007 TF movie. I love Mustangs, too, so there's even more incentive. I think it pulls off what it is supposed to be well enough for a buy. I have the Human Alliance cars, and I think that is how I would display them This is bot mode, HA in car mode. It's hard to make this thing amazing due to the funky design of some of the Bayformers. I demand a 1977 Camaro Bumblebee! I'm gonna call Hasbro...

A smile and a nod for the well placed Konami Code/Contra Code reference.

You missed out the flaps on the rear windows that open to fill the gap in the arms, and you didn't rotate the shoulder joint up to his collar properly.

Not gonna lie, looks pretty good, for what it is.

Would maketoys pandinus and say feral rex sized combiners scale well together and with advanced legends figures like hotsoldiers soundwave

Robert has some l33t packing skills to send all that without anything breaking.

Well, got some flaws but he seems better than MMP Optimus Prime at least, so thei're improving. Tho since it's supposed to be first movie Barricade, they should have bothered to add a little die cast Frenzy as accessory. Going to guess thei're gonna save that to sell a future repaint, Takara is sneaky like that with premium figurines.

I think they knocked it out of the park personally.... it looks better alt to alt where Bee is concerned and nearly matches him in bot mode, and Bee was an incredible figure. I enjoy the movie universe designs so for me it checks the boxes. Is some of that nostalgia from seeing the movies with my oldest son when he was little and getting him all the toys? Maybe, but I value those memories and I enjoy these toys even if they are used to live vicariously through to remember and cherish those years. Ps, I appreciate you reviewing things that you’re not necessarily into also, thank you!

Ain't it fun when you know Robert's gonna send

That Robert D. is one hell of a guy, he just wants to ensure you have a meal ready to eat. Wait, MRE...watch out Bobby, he may get MRE's for you to review.

As for this Barricade, alt mode looks good. But you know how I feel about movie designs. Not for me at all. Solid fun review and story time, sorry I am behind on commenting, been busy the past couple of days.

2:20 in "there's another piece of spaghetti"

wtf am I in for at the end here.

Also, I have become increasingly annoyed at transparent, clear, whatever windows on TFs... like... wtf do we need to see the robot bits mashed up inside for? "Oh boy yep, that's a Transformer's legs alright!" Plus the plastic is more brittle anyway. Just make them regular plastic and paint them blue or something. Green, orange, purple, I don't care, just stop it.
