There's been 3 main "Sleeping Beauty" stories over the years besides Disney. If you're interested, I'll list them below with each general synopsis.

(1812) "Little Brier-Rose" - from Grimm's fairytale collection which inspired Disney's version (except the Prince didn't kiss her, he just happened to turn up after 100 years when the sleeping curse was ending) they also added that many other princes tried to save her and died gruesomely on the thorns protecting the castle.

(1697) “The Sleeping Beauty in the Wood" - Charles Perrault’s version, which is probably my favourite version. It also has the prince turn up just as the curse fades (no non-consensual kissing) and they get to know each other while the rest of the castle folk are waking up. There's a whole second part to this story where the prince's mother is actually descended from Ogres and tries to eat Sleeping Beauty and her children later but the plan is foiled by the Castle cook and the mother-in-law dies, so it ends up a happy ending.

Finally the darkest version:
(1634) “Sun, Moon, and Talia” by Giambattista Basile, where Talia aka Sleeping Beauty is not cursed to be pricked by a spinning wheel needle. Instead astrologers predict at her birth that a tiny splinter of flax will be her undoing. Then when she gets a splinter of flax in her finger from a random travelling merchant, she drops dead. The king lays her body to rest in an old manor in the woods and abandons it forever. A second king comes along one day and after failing to wake Talia, has his way with her and leaves. Then she gives birth to twins and one the babies sucks the flax from her finger causing Talia to revive. The King who impregnated her returns and is overjoyed so continues to visit her in the woods. BUT, Talia doesn't know that said King is already married and the Queen is suspicious of his infidelity because he often goes "hunting in the woods". So when the Queen finds out about Talia, she tries to have the kids cooked and fed to the king and then have Talia killed. Again in this story the castle cook saves the children and the King returns just in time so the queen ends up being killed instead. In the end, the children are safe, Talia marries the king and the King faces no consequences for his infidelity or rape. It's pretty messed up 😅

I mean she's 16 but he was still too old for her. Dude was at least 10 or something when she was born. Imagine being 10 and your parents drag you to a newborn's birthday party to tell you you're gonna hit that someday and no, you don't have a choice.

P.S. I know the film would have you believe he was only 4 years older, but you cannot look at Prince Phillip as a child at Aurora's birth and tell me that that is a four-year-old. That is a whole-ass fifth grader, and nobody can convince me otherwise.

I think that the most cursed Disney couple is Snow white and the prince (idk his name lol😅)
Its because Snow white was actually 14 and the prince was 18 years older than her, which means he was 32 WHEN HE SAW SNOW WHITE 👁️👄👁️💀-
