The lines were read, the acting was acted, the special effects were effects, the writing was written, the editing was edited. Truly the movie

The BEST WORST movie ever made. Thank you, Ed Wood ❤️

I can't get over how awesome the "cockpit" of the plane is.

In the premiere of this movie the director Ed Wood said to himself "This is the one I will remembered for"
He wasn't wrong

Supposedly, this film was funded by a protestant church that had been duped by Ed Wood saying it was going to be a religious film. Bela Lugosi died of a heart attack on August 16, 1956, shortly after shooting some unrelated footage. Ed Wood added this footage into Plan 9 from Outer Space and decided to include it so he could bill the movie as "Lugosi's Last", using his wife's chiropractor, Thomas R Mason, as a stand-in for Lugosi, even though Mason is taller, thinner, and considerably younger than Lugosi. The appearance of Mason, with cape held in front of his face, may well be the origin of the 'Stereotype' Dracula image which is now associated with Lugosi.

Poor Ed. I only wish that he could know what classics his films became.

Now, when you watch the Tim Burton's "Ed Wood" you know "Plan 9", as a movie, is a 0, but the soul and courage to make it is a 10

10:29 "I'm a big boy now Johnny. " I've not seen this film for over thirty years but I've chuckled at that ever since.

So many years after Plan 9 was made, people are still talking about Ed Wood and watching his films, especially this one. Pretty amazing when you think about it.

I am fascinated with movies that make you wonder why they were ever made and how they were ever made. Seems to be a good formula for success.

It's sad to see Bela Lugosi in his last years of acting. From what i heard he was broke at the end.

Proof that money doesn't make a movie great. UFO on a string and shoot the film. Don't even wait till it stops wobbling around. Just go for it. I love it.

One night PBS had an ED WOODS MARATHON. His movie THIRTEEN GHOSTS was really good. Too bad he didn't get any backing. His movies could have been better.
These are classics!
Thank you for this movie !
