"And remember my friend, future events such as these will affect you in the future."

You can't argue with that.

One good thing about Edward Wood's movies is they tough me making bad movies or mediocre films is also a sort of art.

Love this one almost as much as 'Glen Or Glenda' and 'Jail Bait'. They are all quite brilliant movies in their own different way. Edward D Wood Jr has given us so many rare, unique treasures to behold. Simply hilarious.

The second you hear the line "Future events such as these will affect you in the future" you just know you are in for a glorious stinker of a movie

Great movie in the "so bad it's good" genre.

I’ve always liked the bit when Lt. Harper puts the muzzle of a loaded gun against his forehead to push his hat up (15:56) and later rubs the muzzle against his neck and shoulder. At 38:10 Lt. Harper is pointing the gun up at his own throat when he says “But don’t forget that torn nightgown and the scratched feet” to which the totally dim Larry replies “Yeah, I hadn’t thought of that. I guess that’s why you’re a detective lieutenant and I’m still a uniformed cop”. Never mind, Larry, Lt. Harper will soon blow his head off by accident so you can take his place as a great detective.

Disappointed that movies of the other 8 Plans have never been made.

"You see? You see? Your stupid minds...stupid. Stupid." Admit it. We've all felt like Commander Eros. Well, I have. Ed Wood may not have been a great filmmaker, but he had something, vision, intensity. I love the whole scene about "solaronite" even though the science is ludicrous.

"Future events" which will be told "exactly as they happened, from the ones who survived it"

"A saucer? You mean the kind from up there?" she asks at 12:24, as she puts down the kind of saucer from down here. Sheer genius.

Grew up with black and white till the 80s when we finally bought a color tv and cable. I used to sneak in TV room to watch The Night Stalker. A film that was cool in its time and even more so now. Thanks for bringing these hidden classics to the public.

I came here after a Dana Gould podcast regarding Plan 9. He was right! The framework of a decent movie seemingly ruined by childlike production. The core of the story is better than many successful films. This is like Invasion of the Body Snatchers performed by a preschool class. Loved it.

Fun fact. The actress Joanna Lee went on to be a TV comedy writer and wrote over 20 episodes of The Flintstones. She's said to also be the creator of the Great Gazoo. Take from that what you will, lol

The ultimate "So-bad-it's-good" film experience. Deliciously awful, Mr. Wood's frequently ludicrous work here is endlessly ridiculed but to his credit seems to reflect a sincere passion to create a worthwhile film, budget, writing, logic and production values be damned.
