Thank you for the information about Guadalajara! I'm trying to talk my husband into a long weekend trip. We can actually get one for about $500 USD from Chicago, IL (ORD-O'Hare Airport). Cheaper than going to visit our son in Las Vegas.

I would like to see a video in Guadalajara about the historic churches. There are so many within walking distance of the Cathedral. One of my favorites is Templo de San Francisco. Also no one mentions the great historic hotels in Guadalajara. Hotel Morales, hotel Francés, hotel San Francisco just to name a few.
