What if my opponents hits the ball from his glass towards my side, am I allowed to play at his side, not waiting till it overcomes the net?

Here's one. Service down the centre hits net and bounces once in the correct receiver box but 2nd bounce is in other receiver box. I know that if it was fence with 2nd bounce would be a fault. This happened to me last week

I thought you only had the right to play the ball on the other side of the court after the ball has bounced on the rear glass !
