INTENSE mink vs muskrat struggle

This is an albino mink named Ma'ska dispatching a muskrat she found in a mostly drained canal. This is one of her first few muskrats, so she is still perfecting the art of subduing her prey.

He's not "going for the head". He's going for the back of the neck, and as soon as he gets it, he breaks the muskrat's spine and the fight is over. The muskrat is not "tired"; he just had his spine broken.
