I know it seems too much but can you put some trackers on them so you'll always know where they are?

I'm gutted knowing that he was so close to home, just unable to get out. He still looks so beautiful even in death. I hope finding him at least brought you and your family some closure. Rest in peace little hunter.

You can see and hear the pain in Joseph's voice and how hard he was holding that all back. He lost a good friend, hell a member of his family even that he raised from day 1. Boon will be missed, and we're all here for ya Joseph, we feel your pain too <3.

Poor Boon. You gave him a fantastic life doing what he loved Joseph. He was a part of your family and I’m sorry for your loss. RIP Boon you’re sadly missed 💙

It isn't your fault, Joseph. We can spend years telling ourselves how it could have been different, but those years are unfruitful. I grew up on a farm, very rarely when a pet went missing did we find closure.

Boon was an amazing mink, an amazing friend, an amazing part of your family. No amount of circumstances will ever change that.

We all love you, and we're here for you.

I've never watched a single video from this channel, but this video somehow appeared on my feed. The love you had for Boon was real and I can tell from this video alone how epic Boon was as well as how good a parent you and your wife are to your little girls. Much respect to you and yours. To all the other members of this community, you guys got to witness something pretty cool, and while his Sun has unfortunately set, that doesn't take away the unique experience you all shared. That's forever, so therefor Boon is forever. Rest in Peace to Boon.

I actually cried the day I heard Boon was gone. Seeing him grow up from a baby mink to an ace muskrat hunter was someting I did not want to have missed.

I was able to hold back tears until 3:40 . Seeing Boon as a baby tore me up. I was there, seeing all of this. R.I.P to a true legend and pioneer leading towards better understanding and bonding between creatures previously thought to have neither. Joe we are all with you, and hope our hearts can keep you standing when you think of your buddy.

Your daughter helping you, placing Boon in his place of rest and giving him the flag - all while being so grown up about it - is absolutely precious. Way to raise responsible, respectful and well rounded children. Your family is beautiful, both human one and furry one. Boon came to this life with the purpose to teach you, so that you can in turn teach future mink and humans to work in harmony with one another. He had a special mission and though his life was sadly far too short, he had already completely his mission and taught you the things you know now, because of him.

He will always be your special boy and he loved you and the life you gave him. His legacy is even bigger than his catch rate. RIP sweet Boon. ❤ Sending you and your family love from the UK, Joe. 🙏🏻

Thank you Joe for posting Boon's little funeral...though this posting I was an attendee to his funeral and memorial moment. A solemn assembly indeed for this great Mink champion...and I think it is an exceptional moment that you did find him...this gives you and all of us the proper closure a person needs when a loved one is taken from us, RIP Boon...and God bless!

Incredible how majestic he looks, even in death. I'm sure he had a great life, with no regrets.

For me the most devastating part about this is that he died curled up in a bucket. Its like he knew it was his turn to get in the bucket. I just hope he went peacefully in his sleep. So sorry for your loss Joe and family.

He does truly still live up to his name from the hymn. He was a boon to us mortals given and united our souls with heaven, the pinnacle of minkenry. I think he brought a piece of heaven down with him when he was born, and he was reunited with heaven far sooner than we would have expected.
At the end of the day, while his memory will always come with sadness, I think his name will forever be a reminder to think of him with gratitude.
As morbid as it may sound, I think we’ll all meet our loved ones again when we leave this physical realm, and I take comfort in that. I sometimes pause when cuddling with my cat and think to her, “When I join the afterlife, come find me, okay?”
Incidentally, my cat’s name is Daffodil, and evidently the flower of her namesake is a symbol of new beginnings. She is the first pet I’ve ever had as an adult, and she makes our apartment with my boyfriend truly a home. She makes us a family.

I believe one day you will see Boon again, and Washushe, and Fang, and Sherni. They are all tied to you inextricably by your love for each other, and that bond can never be broken even by death.

Oh dear god Joe I am so so so very sad for you. Even at rest, he is beautiful and I am grateful you found him in his final regal pose. Even in death, he is majestic. I would have been bawling. He most likely went to sleep and passed in his sleep from the cold which is one of the more peaceful ways to go. Rest in Peace, King Boon. 💖💖
