I gotta admit as a male going into the field, I was not aware of this superlative level of trust from the general public. I wish I would have known, because maybe I would have gotten into the profession earlier. This is part of what makes the career choice attractive to certain people in general and some men in particular, especially those who are more agreeable by nature (myself included). I've worked many jobs that you would describe as more masculine-oriented: manufacturing, sales and recruitment, contracting, etc. I think what I always missed was that collaborative, team-oriented approach. In jobs like contracting, if you are a trusting person, you *will* be taken advantage of. I hated that aspect of it, and I imagine lots of guys do, too. As always thanks for the great content, I needed a mental break from studying lol got my MedSurg final in about an hour!

Im a 23 year old LPN and started my first nursing home job last week, my facility welcomed me as a male nurse and are helping me train so i can stay, male nurses are needed!!
