In my 3.5 years, I've found out that, post covid, you are correct, the higher the pay the more they will work your ass and not think twice about it! I like to take the decent pay in the smaller towns and just work a straight schedule and enjoy my time off.

Im about to do 4 years, hopefully 3, years of nursing. Hopefully by the time I get into the field, things have changed for the better. God bless yall travel nurses 🙏

I ran into some racist ass nurse’s on my last nursing contract 1.5 years ago. i got floated to their icu 2 days in a row never had any complaints throughout my nursing career. They made up a bunch of BS and got my contract terminated, I couldn’t even tell my side plus my agency didn’t even care. I was sad as hell, the next day I got accepted to CRNA school. Everything you say about nursing is facts it’s horrible and travel nursing was great during Covid but it’s really the same BS with no one backing you up and they can get rid of you anytime.

That was beautiful. Nice video again. Loved the ending. It's true how nobody talks about the downsides to the game. The upsides are real too. I am one of those who "can't go back to staff" and am constantly monitoring our local system of hospitals feeling which way the market will go. And like you Tyrone I'm wondering what is the end game to this career wise. I don't see this as sustainable long-term by any means but it certainly entertaining and profitable at the moment.

I'm one of the (never Staff RN again) LOL … Im currently doing 2 contacts at the same time to make a few extra coins but ultimately grow to the next level. Not easy but it really is about playing ones game not the Employers. Really enjoyed the video. Very through and informative. Stay safe and keep Hustling.

Spot on. Great info! I like to call it a "facility" market. They set the rules and you either take it or leave it. Great point on the internal contracts. They seem really good but then you get to the fine print that they hope you'll overlook. I'm a recruiter for Atlas Medstaff and my hubs is an ICU travel nurse for the last 6 years. It's been a rollercoaster but the good news is, even when the market is crap, it will correct itself eventually.

It's a trip...I think travel nursing has really messed me up, I decided to rent my home out because I wasn't stationary not to mention the money I have a hard time accepting staff pay. So far I have never been cancel or my contract cut....It has been the wear and tear to the point I take off for a month or two.

yuppp this makes so much sense. everything that goes up must come down; it was only a matter of time before the hospitals found a solution to cut costs and tie people back in. thanks for this video. new grads going to travel is crazy to me I like steady income too much 😂😂 also at the end of the day, nurses are skilled laborers and they will treat us as such 🤷🏽‍♂ I just hope all these travelers invested their money in something and didn't just increase their costs/lifestyle

I'm a CNA and I'm gonna start doing travel CNA work in a couple of months. We're in such a high demand even more than nurses. I've only been a CNA for 8 months, I wish to become an LPN... so for now I just wanna travel and build up my money and pay out of pocket 100% for my LPN program. Next year's goal is to Travel CNA and 2025's goal is to enter a nursing program.

That's crazy! How can they change a contract once you've signed it? That's not legal, is it?

💕Nice video☺️💕I worked as a travel RN case manager, starting at the height of COVID. I never had a rate cut. I have gone halfway across the states for a 13 week contract and told was no longer needed a week and a half in, that’s right about when traveling started to fizzle out. It’s now harder to get contracts and new rules like not being able to return to a given hospital system that I already served multiple contacts and extended when asked to. Another good thing to be aware of, is if you need health insurance, it usually starts the following first of the month or 30 days in after your start date and only lasts until your last contracted day. It was extremely hard to renew my prescriptions as I no longer was established with a PCP because I traveled so much. My personal health ended up suffering.

This video was amazing! I did one contract and thankfully it went pretty well. They are very strict though about everything. We paid off some stuff then I was ready to be done with it for now. Thanks for this video! Super helpful
