As someone who plays many instruments, I can say a good quality plastic ocarina is an amazing instrument. It never goes out of tune, with no reeds or strings to replace practically indestructible, is super lightweight and portable, and fun!!! I carry that soprano focalink on my car key chain so I'm never caught without and instrument. You can also use it as a pitch pipe to tune your other instruments/acapella except pitch pipes use reads which go out of tune. Always readily playable, accessible, and reliable a plastic ocarina 12 hole transverse ocarina is a musician's favorite toy/instrument for travel, improvising and composing melodies, jamming with other instruments (a soprano C will cut through a live salsa band). With 23 chromatic pitches, almost two octaves and the ability to bend each pitch with breath control for even mirco tones, the possibilities are endless. The plastic ones are so loud no need for amplification when accompanied by other acoustic instruments even outdoors. Etc etc etc

I, too started because of Ocarina of Time & Majora's Mask. I actually ended up buying one of those cheap Ocarina of Time ceramic ones from wish. It ended up breaking a year or two ago.
I got pretty good at it, and now I'm learning piano.
It is a fun instrument.
