Some progress on the shore! Managed to re-squeeze everything within 178 instructions.

It's not heavily tessellated. In my next update, I will show the wireframe. Don't worry, this ocean will be given away for free with a detailed video tutorial explaining the entire thing from scratch.

How heavy is the tessellation in the ocean mesh? I've got 133 instructions in my ocean shader atm using two textures for normal derivation and the third is the cubemap. I want to add vertex displacement but I'm afraid of the density I would have to achieve to get a good effect. What's your quad size in UU if you don't mind me asking? I also went with a blinn model (I'm assuming that's how you got the elongated specular highlight) and it really makes the water stand out compared to a phong bloom.
