Lithuania was gorgeous, but we were ready for the next country - Latvia, which is also country number 33 for us 😻😻 we heard there was wild horses close to the border and since that's not something you see every day we thought we would see if we could spot any 🐎🐎🐎 We then found a spot to camp so we spent the night in Kemeri National Park 😴

We’re Dean & Nala, and we’ve been best friends since December 2018. I was cycling around the world when I heard Nala meowing out for me somewhere in the Bosnian mountains. With no intentions of keeping Nala, I knew i had to save the wee kitten and take her to the vet - but I was well aware of the fact that it might be a bit of a challenge considering I only had a bike. However, despite my concerns, Nala quickly climbed out of the front bag on the bike handle and straight onto my shoulder. Since then, we’ve been travelling the world together. Kemeri National Park is special because of its great biodiversity and an unexpected sight in Latvian nature parks are the several hundred Dutch Konik horses that have moved to Latvia in the past fifteen years, resulting in the return of unique bird species.
The Dutch horses live spread over 28 areas.

Today is likely the day I have to say Farewell & Sweet Travels to my beloved Ivy, a "wee gray tabby" kitten I too rescued (& when I did, my vet gave her only a 10% chance she'd survive due to "the worst case of pneumonia & starvation" she'd ever seen). We've bn blessed w/nearly 16 precious yrs!🥰 So Dean, I can't thank you enough for the quiet joy & comfort watching this video brought me on this agonizing day. I fell in love w/you & Nala the day I saw your 1st video of tiny Nala on those rocks.You've delighted 10s of millions of us over the yrs, and so, today more than any other: I am filled with gratitude for the happines, beauty & love you bring to this troubled world.
