How do you shoot someone six times and not get charged with attempted murder or assault? There's a story there.

So, he was sentenced to 20 years, the maximum for 2nd degree murder. When that runs out, maybe we should all remind the criminal justice system, he is still owed a charge for aggravated sexual assault of a minor.

You gotta love all these cases where they somehow kill someone accidentally then decide to hide the body and then proceed to lie about everything until the evidence is piling up.

How casually he's like "lol disgusting" with the cops while being interviewed regarding a recent murder is crazy to me.

I’m glad that the police here took Nikki’s murder and disappearing seriously even though she was trans and a drug addict.

@This is monsters, i actually live in the apartments Nikki left from and have known her family for YEARS! I am so glad you are taking her tragic story. Everyone loved her.

Different strokes for different folks. Nobody has a right to judge another. He could have just told her to please get out of the vehicle. Nobody deserves to die, especially like that. RIP Nikki. Such a sad story. Hope her family is doing well now. Thank you for sharing this!!! ❤

Regardless of how you feel about a person's way of life, you don't kill them.

when nikki was honest about being transgender he could have just said “get out of my car” and left her there. why hurt her?! infuriating!
edit:i dont think she refused to get out….

This feels like a return to your previous styles of videos and I loved it! I missed it so much, and I adore getting to hear more of your commentary. What a tragically sad case, Breaks my heart.

As a local resident and a member of the Vancouver trans community, never imagined seeing this story being covered. Thank you for your allyship and I hope comments can be preened for respectfulness surrounding this retelling. I'm older than Nikki and never knew her personally, but this story still makes waves and it's important to keep her memory in great spirit. rest in peace and justice 💙🙌🏽

Trans panic and gay panic defences need to be stopped. It's a revolting way of spitting on the grave of the victim

You’re right- here he was trying to get with a 17 year old girl, he’s disgusting! That fantasy about the cellphone charger slipping from her torso up to her neck by accident was ridiculous! What’s even crazier is it looping itself three times mid struggle! He’s had months to come up with a plausible explanation before he’s interviewed that first time. Instead he says umm and I think throughout the process-just stalling for time so he can think of something to say. He’s guilty of pure hatred- it’s too bad the penalties for a murder via hate crime gets you less than 20 years in Canada! That needs to change.

This happened in my town. When it happened, I remember commenting on the perpetrators IG and his sister was coming to his defense. She said that if Nikki didn’t want to be murdered, she shouldn’t have “lied to her brother”. Absolutely disgusting.

As the mother of a gay man my heart breaks to see such hatred and evil towards a group of humans who only want to live their lives like all of us.

I gotta say you're one of my favorite true crime channels. Much respect for the work you do to tell the victims story. I know it might be an odd question but could do a video about my grandmother and the women that were murdered in the 70s around Western North Carolina by a man named ronald clay smith I would greatly appreciate it. She was murdered when my mother was 9 so obviously I never met her, but it would be nice to have a little light shown on her case. Again thanks for all you do.
