This looks more like an ad for a free game you'd play on your cell.

Changing Shun's gender was a mistake.
Shun is a feminine male character, he's seen as the weakest of the five knights throughout the whole manga, yet he's the most loyal and mentally strong character, who'd give his life without any hesitation to help his friends. His soft, caring feminine side helps him stand out from other men and gives him a very interesting personality.

Here, Shun is just... a strong independent wahmen. They basically killed what made this character interesting.

Netflix needs to be banned from touching anything that was made in japan apart from simply putting existing anime on their service.

Just watched first 2 episodes. Color balance is good, Character model was not too bad, VFX was better than what I expected, and that's pretty much the only good things of it.

The scripting is what gets me. If feels like written by a teenager and for little kids. For example, at episode 1, Vander asks Alman if he still believes in those superstitions about the knights, and then seconds later he says he's certain he can defeat the Gods. Isn't that part of the whole "superstition?" The last time I saw a script so pathetic was when I watched The Last Airbender (the movie). I think even the simple animations in my channel might be less pathetic.

When I saw Shun as a woman, I already knew stupidity was coming because they couldn't even understand that Shun being male was to show that man can also have a feminine Cosmo. Man can be delicate and sensitive and wear pink. They instead thought it was the best character to turn into a woman, completely missing the point of what Shun represents. So I knew the scripting would be pathetic, but I still had to be sure to not judge a book by its cover.

That Netflix series is a disrespect to the Saint Seiya franchise.

they said they changed Shun to bring more female to watch this anime but I think it's weird. many girls actually like saint seiya. in my country there are topic about girls talking about how much they like Milo and how handsome he is.

Dear Netflix, I do like you buying the rights to anime. But please... do not touch, modify or change anything in them. Please...
Because you can, doesn't mean you should.

Instead of doing that big crap, Netflix should have bought rights for the second season of LOST CANVAS.

A Netflix version of a japanese franchise based on greek mythology appealing to a western market... yeah, this was destined to fail from the very beginning.

Ok Netflix, let me tell you how to actually make a reboot that doesn’t make fans mad:

-stick to the existing canon
-cut out filler
-don’t change the names of the characters???
-don’t randomly gender-bend characters???
-make the Japanese dub available

Soooo instead of bringing an already existing female character to join the main cast, the decide to make one of the most iconic characters a woman? Because there wasn’t that much female representation?

What about what the original Shun represented to many fans of the series!! Shun was a icon to the gay anime community for one. idk if he really is gay himself but still a lot of gay anime fans really liked him. Even read a article about it too when I first learned about him becoming a girl in this.

He secondly represented that a man can be feminine and a pacifist and wear pink and it’s ok! Because he’s one of the strongest saints but chooses a peaceful approach first before being forced to fight! And wore pink and no one cared cuz he was cool! Fought with chains instead of his fist to bind enemies.

He also was kind and caring to his friends represented sensitivity.

But now there getting rid of all this representation. And doing the typical woman portrayal that girls always get the pink armor and are always the sensitive peaceful fighters.

Again why couldn’t they get an existing female character or make a new one to join the main cast!? Bring 3 of them to join Athena’s guards! But don’t change a fan favorite!!

It’s not Saint Seiya if it lacks homoerotic innuendos.
