My daughter has down syndrome she is 21 months tomorrow. I didn’t get the test done. I didn’t find out till after I had her. I love her so much she is a true blessing. 💙💛💙💛

My cousin has DS. My Aunt and Uncle in the 70's were told to place him at a home (Weston mental asylum) and forget about the birth. He's now 50! In jr high & high school we all went to the same school so my brother got him on the football team as the "waterboy" he was so proud of himself, he was popular in shool, everyone loved him! He's now Married to another beautiful lady with DS living together in a group home type setting so they can be independent. They've both work at Giant Eagle for years making good money. They both take public transportation "together."
At 50 he's starting to fall ill often. He's had many great years!
My cousin has brought so much joy to our lives! He's funny, thoughtful, charming, and LOYAL! I can't imagine our lives without him. He's a blessing to our family! Your son is a blessing💕💕💕💕

I worked for years with an adult woman who was born with Down Sydrome. She was a hard worker, kind, humble and she wanted to be your friend. She was the nicest person i ever met. God made us each different. She is a special person. Even when i see her at the grocery store, she is the kindest person.

Thank you for this... When my son was diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome when he was 6, I didn't have the resources that you have. It was a long journey but I became the Forrest Gump mother and I fought like a dog for my son. Now he is 24 and has a college degree. People with awesome kids like ours need to see that there is hope and a future for our kids too.

Dear Shaun and Megan,
I was born with a clip palate, I never knew until I was in my forties, as I was living in the area Washington DC, my parents came for a visit and as we pass Walter Reed hospital my father had told me I had surgery there, when I was a infant, my mother was so embarrassed, I had told her you don't have to be a shame I'm okay. I grown up to wonderful person. I've never look back at my disability. So for those out there who have children with disabilities never give up. Thank you for allow me tell my story.

I was diagnosed with autism at three years old and I can tell you. Disability doesn't not equal a bad life. It may be harder in some aspects but it isn't a bad thing. I think Colton's future is bright with great parents like you.

I have a special needs daughter, she is 28. She was never suppose to make it to her first birthday! She is one tough cookie. Turkey is very lucky to have you two as his parents. I am very lucky to have my daughter!

Over the yrs. of working in hospital I've took care of people with down syndrome. They're always the sweetest and most loving people. You can't help but to fall in love with them. Today my youngest son (33 yrs. old) was born with multi-disabilities and life threatening conditions. One thing I learned pretty fast was that doctors always prints the worst stories and that God has the final say so. My son can do many things doctors said he'd never be able to do. He nearly died before birth and many many times since then. Though he'll always have limitations in certain areas we prefer to focus on all he can do like live by himself and work a full-time job. He just bought his first new car. He's a special and unique young man. I'm truly blessed to have him as my son.

GOD only blesses special people with special babies... turkey is a blessing to all of us... my grandmother had 2 down syndrome sons... they were my two favorite people in life.. all they know is love and happiness... true angels on earth

My ex-wife (which we have a very good friendly relationship now) has a niece with downs. When she was just a couple months old, she had to have open heart surgery in which I was able to donate blood to her (same blood type). She was the most was the sweetest and lovable child I had ever known. I don’t think a day goes by that I don’t think about her. She has never met someone that she didn’t like. I’d give my life for that girl. Today she is now 26 years old.
