Nothing new so far. DO NOT ACCEPT RIDES FOR LESS THAN $6. This appears to be the AI minimum. Teach Uber a lesson. This is how I screw around with their AI. JUST ENOUGH CRAP, even a couple of $5’s. Tuesday I had to do about 4 or 5 $4’s. But I made my $100 in about 4 hours. Do the minimum amount of crap until your offers get to double digits. Or at least $8’s and $9’s. I’ve rejected 2 and 3 at a time to get a $12 or a $15. One night I was working around Arizona State University, and just got pelted with under five dollar rides. I had to pause notifications until I could get the hell out of there! Make their AI work for you, not against you.

Before I came across this channel, I only drove for Uber. After hearing how drivers were often unfairly deactivated by rideshare companies, I decided to sign up for Lyft as a backup. After driving for Lyft for just a couple weeks, I learned that, In my market, Lyft pays way more than Uber and I drive way less miles in a night for Lyft. (FYI, i drive only as a part-time driver mostly on the weekends)

Completely disagree. Here in SoCal there are a lot of things to consider. I've taken long rides, medium rides and shorties. And Lyft by far beats Uber on pay not to mention the EV credit... Even though they just lowered mine from $150/week to $100/week for 50 rides. That's still better than Ubers EV bonus of $210 for 200 rides/month. Same amount of rides less money.

Also, Lyft is more consistent across counties and Uber is a cheapskate. When I'm in LA county and go to SB county the rates drop significantly. Yet there's no difference in OC. If I go to Ventura county again, a drop in fares.

Lyft wins by pay and expectations. I like being able to see the person's profile pic so I know who's getting in my car. Uber should do this too.

Lyft! Better bounes. WAY better bonuses. Only 5 minute wait at pick up. Better info given to drivers.

In Atlanta, Uber is busier but Lyft pays much better. That has been my experience. Uber has very crappy bonuses while Lyft has much better bonuses.

LYFT Deactivated because I had to take an alternative route here in Lake Tahoe because roads were closed during a winter storm. Passengers said I was taking advantage of them, complaining about the weather etc. one topic missed was the different passengers on each on average. Lyft passengers bargain shop and complain about everything! Uber has more professionals and people who won't try and ruin you're livelihood

I'm im Atlanta. Uber is much busier, but Lyft offer better bonuses. I'm going to do Lyft Tuesday - Thursday and Uber Friday - Sunday.

I drive Lyft part time. Mainly weekends. The thing I do like is when I leave work I can set my address as a in the direction of and only get rides headed towards my home. That’s a great feature Lyft has for part time.

I work part-time in NJ, and I just started doing Lyft after 4.5 years just doing Uber. In NJ, we drive blind doing Uber, and that is why my acceptance rate is low with Uber. I keep getting requests to pick up 15, 20, 30 minutes away, and there no way I am doing those, especially since I don't even know where the rider is going. So will Uber I only accept requests under 4 miles or 8 minutes away. With Lyft I will accept more since I am given drop off location and I may accept a request a little further out since I know where they are going and sometimes I may have errands to run in that area or an area I know has high request volume. Too bad l get more Uber requests in my area

All depends on the individual market you are doing rideshare in… I work part time doing both uber and Lyft in Toms River New Jersey ( Jersey Shore) In my area Lyft pays a little bit more but not by much and their minimum fare for drivers is a bit higher… $3.69 minimum fare pay out for a roughly 1-3 mile trip for uber X and around $4.50 minimum fare pay out for approximately same minimum fare for Lyft with similar mileage… I recently ( yesterday)took a 3 mile trip doing Door Dash and was paid $5.00 so rideshare doesn’t longer really pay so much in my market but like I said I believe it is depending on ones market !

I’m in Dallas TX and Uber pays a lot more and is note busy

I started doing ride share less than a month in the Raleigh area. My acceptance rate on Uber is 16% and 60% on Lyft. My problem with Uber is that most of the rides that come to me are usually pretty far from where I am. Even when I am at a busy area, uber tries to make me go far to get a rider. I feel like most of the time is not worth to accept. I’d love to hear some thoughts from the community.

Lyft lets Venezuelans work in Colorado now. So it's super slow in 2025.

I always start with Lyft. Give it 15 minutes before I turn on Uber. Uber is busier, but Lyft pays me for my drive to the customer. Lyft pays better and their "head to destination" is 100x better. San Fernando Valley and Ventura County driver

Liv has been my primary due to the medical insurance rides, and in my area a lot of people travel far for their healthcare

These videos are useless. It all depends on area. Not app.

Personally here in dallas. Uber riders. Were the rich snobby whiny people. I was always friendly driver, car was always clean. But they give down star because of a scratch on my door. Also if you don't accept rides your rating goes down faster with uber. & Less bonuses.

With Lyft. Which i started same day after quitting Uber. Better bonuses, friendly more down to earth riders, score doesn't go down as fast if you accidentally accept a ride & have to cancel. Maps is better although wish it had option to switch to googles.

Only complaint is wish had an option to avoid tolls.

Lyft keeps you in your area for the most part. Uber will have you driving 2 hrs away

I’m in Jersey. Lyft ride for ride pays better, tells the driver the pickup and drop off location before you accept. Uber has more rides though. But they only tell you how long it’ll take to get to the location. I can pickup in 2 states with Lyft, but only one with Uber. So I give the advantage to Lyft.
