Amazing Gated Old Otis Traction Freight Elevator on the Texas A&M's campus from 1950!

Filmed on April 5, 2019: First of all, I want to say Happy Easter to everyone, a VERY Happy 30th Birthday to Nicholas (CaptainElevator42189), and thanks for 50 million views & 25,000 subscribers here on YouTube(Although it wasn’t mentioned on video, but see thumbnail instead)! What a better way to celebrate is a ride on this awesome old vintage gated Otis elevator at the Biological Science East Building at Texas A&M University in College Station, TX. Although the cab and control operating panel was modernized, but tastefully done! All the machinery fixtures and gate (including call station seen at beginning of this video) are STILL original! :D FORGET the stainless steel cabs and new COP (control operating panel), LISTEN to the AMAZING, EPIC sounding motor!!!!! This is what I call a REAL elevator, despite the minor upgrades. I wish to find something completely original, but this is the only one that I could find through my whole content of this year. Anyways, enjoy! :D Installed in 1950, tastefully modded in the 90's or 2000's.

Now this is what I call a very nice freight elevator, since it has the unique fixtures (Black Button Otis on the outside and Custom Innovation Premier on the inside). And even if this elevator was partially redone, the cab looks nice and rugged, but still has that unique vintage look from almost 70 years ago.
