I remember driving 3, 000 miles from one end of U.S. to another and while passing through South Dakota and Montana (2:40 AM) — this song came on, while doing 75 mph on 80.

The only light that shined was the full Moon, stars and my head lights. If anyone has driven on I-90 through SD or MT, at night... you know how dark it gets out there!

But that moment was special for me. Just cruising alone, with God-like snowy Mountains beside me, as I drove. The song made me feel scared but more like an "excited fear" but also a very majestic fear, as if I am bowing down to this Earth. This Universe. Now because of that, I have an emotional-connection to this seven minute song 🥰

A few years ago, I tried to listen to Boards of Canada and didn't like it. Now, I come back here and I truly love it unconditionally. I guess my ears weren't ready for it yet.
The lesson here is not to judge people who have different taste. It just means that they are not ready yet. Give them time.

I wish they would have made a whole album with this tone/style. Just unbelievably atmospheric and moody.

I've been searching for this sound, attempting to fabricate what that perfection would sound like. God, I'm so high right now, and its perfectly accompanied by this, like a morning coffee with a hint of hazelnut and vanilla. Whoever comes across this, you're an extraordinary person, you are worthy, and you are so deeply loved by forces that you cannot even comprehend. Time is not of the essence, you will achieve your souls purpose. <3

I listened to this while hiking alone on the Faroe Islands. The rough, wild nature gave this song a very special meaning. Please listen to this when you are about to do something special. As long as you do it alone - you dont want anyone around then. Unbelievable.

Everytime I listen to BoC I feel loved, understood and connected - like a spiritual bridge in the form of soundwaves. I love all of you. Be strong, be free.

This track, mostly the beginning, always remind me when during in a snowy afternoon, there was a white german Shepherd following me in the distance on a trail, there was only fields and woods, nowhere to get safe. I didn't know if I should run or keep calm, I kept walking calmly and when the dog was close, he turned out to be friendly. I petted him and called someone to come pick us up, then the owner came a few days later to get him home and thanked us for keeping him safe in our house, lovely encounter and memory...

I come back to listen to this so often, I'm also flipping out with
"Aphex Twin - Rhubarb"
"Aphex Twin - Stone In Focus"
few Brian Eno's songs like "Brian Eno Invisible" (the first result) and a real masterpiece "Just another day"
few other songs of Boards of Canada like "Echus", "Olson" or "Left drive side"
and then something totally different from the '70s, but maybe one of the most romantic beautiful songs ever written: Jorma Kaukonen - Genesis (live and studio versions are both beautiful)
good vibes, let me know ;)

Today, the last 747 was delivered and the pilot made a 747 with the path. Amazing, this song today is extra special.

my ex showed me this. I fell in love with Boards of Canada. Now it hurts to listen, but I'm trying to make it mine instead of relating it to him.

I found Boards of Canada back in 1995. Been a huge fan ever since. They create the sounds from dreams that I always try to create.

If sadness had a pretty face, long never ending hair, a warm timeless smile, and a deep mystery in her eyes, an intoxicating gaze that penetrates the soul, for sure, that baddie would be listening to BoC.

That part at 2:35 when the angelic choir voices start to pour in like you're on your deathbed but your spouse was kind enough to attach an acid iv into your arm so your soul's memories could transition to the next existence smoothly.
