For some reason this track hit me when I was outside in the sun with my 2 young sons. Remembering my youth and what it felt like, all these new impressions...and then seeing my sons playing, realising that they were living that very same moment that was already a memory for me....wow...

I don't know why there isn't more Boards of Canada music. It's been just over a decade since Tomorrow's Harvest. I am so grateful for what we do have, though I can't help but be deeply saddened that there hasn't been more from them. Absolutely phenomenal and horribly underrated. They were so ahead of the curve that it's mind-blowing.

I was born in 1975. Watching this, I can feel the sand in my eyes, taste the salt on my lips. The sting of the sun. I can remember hearing this music when I was a child. Thank you BOC.

This track has this uncanny ability to get better and better the more I listen to it. Just completely ethereal

It's fascinating revisiting this video almost 10 years later. In 2013 I was deep into BoC and this was just another great track for me. But listening and watching this now it hit me with new intensity. The final flight straight into the sun got my blood pressure up. These guys created a truly timeless catalog of music. I hope they bring us more some day!

This music video touches you in a way that others don't. You look at these abandoned buildings and houses and each one of them has a story that was buried in time. These were places someone at one point called home, and the rest of us can only wonder who was once there and what kind of life they lived before these places became a derelict. Meanwhile, the ending is seemingly bright and surreal, like an ascension into Heaven, as if the whole message is that nothing we build here will last forever and it's only the human spirit that carries on.

It's weird to see a BoC music video that's actually made by BoC.

Sometimes you find music that has no real place in time. It's almost like it shouldn't really exist, because it could be placed into any era and it would fit in. This is the kind of music that will never die.

I feel the brothers BoC have always lovingly embraced the psychoactive properties of sound. That trademark goes all the way back to Twoism. What keeps me a fan is this constant exploration into the far outposts of human existence where familiarity meets the unknown.  They slow you down, like meditation, you start shutting off and then suddenly, you'll hear a wall of complexity just below the surface. Their music is comforting yet deeply troubling, these two worlds somehow found a way to harmonize together through the enigmatic Marcus and Michael. What a joy to have art like this in modern music.

I've been feeling a second wave of heavy depression lately. This song. These images. I don't know what it is but it just makes me want to break down and cry. It just evokes that feeling of absolute loneliness, a vast expansive world full of life and color. And I just can't find a purpose in it. I'm like these buildings. Once just filled with potential and life, then one day it all just went away. Now I just sit so desolate and devoid of anything inside. Just waiting. Just watching.

Boards of Canada music has such a sad, post-apocalyptic or even Nostalgic sort of feeling. I love it.

Still makes me emotional. Just remembering when this came out, Tomorrow's Harvest was announced, and it had been so long, and the track was so beautiful... I'm so ready for that feeling again. We all are, especially given everything that's happened and is going on these days. Please come back. We love you.

There is always something that connects with your brain when you you hear any BoC sound. First it's perfect in your ears and then your brain gives you the thoughts and feelings. For me BoC is the sound of my life and I'm so lucky to be alive to hear them for so many years now ❤

That 2:49 moment
is one of the most satisfying drop in music,
all genres considered.
