I suppose one might consider the difference between fascism and communism to be roughly the equivalent of the difference between ebola and smallpox. The former is technically deadlier than the latter, but the latter keeps the host alive long enough to spread over a wider area.

You can't make communism work at a level higher than a community level and, if at that, it has to be organic. It has to be start communist at the community level off rip. If the community ever experiences capitalism, the dissent from those invested in maintaining the market system would cause enough discord to start violence by default. So, the community has to turn on capitalism unanimously or at a massive majority that renders dissent immaterial. Once communism is pushed at a higher level of governance such as a region, a nation or globally, the natural distance between and disparate interests of different local communities of different geographies would lead to a higher probability for violence to occur to facilitate the one track minded unanimousity needed for communism to work. Also, any elites of these governance systems would have enough distance from local communities with maximum force to protect their power in the name of crushing dissent against communism. At local community level, elites are more likely to be within the community and closer to the people with less possibility of dissent that would require a forceful, violent governing authority. The idea of a communist region, nation or globe is misguided at best and a murderous disaster at worst. Only a small communist community, like a kibbutz, will ever work. Unfortunately, most communist elites know a communist dominance of a wider area will ensure they can hoover up power faster and protect it better with violence from a massive surveillance and militant force from a wider pool of population, making them obsessed with domination of wider areas to ensure this eventuality. That action in bad faith is disgusting but this incentive ensures they will push that version of their ideology, seeking control of wider areas, for their own selfish interests to ensure they guarantee their own elevation at the expense of the wider masses. That's sad.

The real issue is that it breed dictatorship, but also what ppl do t talk about it breed laziness. There is even a saying(it is a loose trnaslation from polish) if you sit or you stand 2 PLN is due. We saw in every communist cou try that we had 7 ppl doing the same job but only 1 person was working. We had factories where ppl were taking extra shit home and work like 15 minutes in an hour. Even under the glorious equality if you work in a food factory you had more to eat that others, if you were a dentist you would have more food stamps than others. It changed nothing and it breed corruption beyond understanding

Yugoslavia was not a communist, but socialist state. There's a fine yet well defined difference between the two. My parents grew up Yugoslavia and talk very fondly of that time. It was probably one of the best socialist states in the world and sadly fascists ruined it from the inside.
