I got skates for Christmas. I've been practicing in my house. Today I went to a giant parking lot that felt as big as the ocean. With nothing to hold onto, I watched this reel to psych myself up and just GET UP AND OUT THERE. And I skated SLOWLY for an hour. Got a lot of work to do. You're an inspiration.

Lmao tried doing this in a small town full rink! With my wife and kid, wife skated back in the day so she was good! I was use to rollerblading in the day! Rink didn't have blades so I rented quads! Fell fist 2 seconds of trying it! I was like naw yall go ahead ill watch!lol. Fell and fell and fell but kept getting back up!bought a used pair and went back a few times, tonight my little 4 year old girl told me and my wife to go away and she skates all the way around the rink by herself while my wife and I cried because she didn't need us to hold her hand anymore! How time flies! Also she got mad because we where faster than her and she wants to go fast!love the advice keep it coming 👌 💯!

First time roller skating yesterday, fell on my arse 4 times within 3 hours, but was feeling a lot more comfortable on them and I could move, I just really struggled to get comfortable pushing off and shifting my weight. Went quickly a few times the speed helped but also made me end up falling or wobbling. I am so determined to learn I actually don’t care.

Quick tip for new skaters, wear knee pads the first time you practice until your comfortable. If you fall your going to want to try to fall on your knee

what I did was try skating by the edge of the rink and hold on to something until you can skate independently. Then I tried skating from one part or the next ✨
