This tutorial video will show you how to convert a PDF file to editable text using OCR in PicoPDF.

To convert a PDF to editable text using OCR, open your PDF in PicoPDF. Click the 'OCR' button on the toolbar or the 'Run OCR' button on the infobar. Once the process is done, click on the text to edit it.

If the text in your PDF is not editable, it could be because the document contains images of text rather than the actual text data. This is common with scanned documents. To make a scanned document editable, the images must be converted back into text. PicoPDF uses Optical Character Recognition or OCR to convert images into editable text.
To make your scanned PDF file editable, open it in PicoPDF. PicoPDF automatically detects scanned PDFs and displays an infobar prompting you to 'Run OCR' at the bottom of the page. Click the 'Run OCR' button or use the 'OCR' button on the toolbar. The OCR tool will scan the document for images containing text, converting each image into editable text. This enables you to make edits to scanned documents.
Once the OCR process is done, an infobar will appear, indicating that you can now edit the text in your PDF file. It's important to note that OCR is not perfect, and there may be discrepancies compared to the original file. The accuracy of image-to-text conversion relies heavily on the sharpness and clarity of the images and text within them.

Does NCH have an Homepage Creator tool ? For short time I changed my Homepage provider. Then I wanted to modernize my Homepage, which is written completely in handwritten HTML. This works fine with all I want to have as functionality. But it looks rather antiquated, because it is simply (colored) Text with pictures and accesses to MP4, ZIP and PDF Files. Works nice, but looks unprofessionel. Because of this, I investiged how today Homepages are typically be made. And there are CMS systems like WordPress common. But this is not a Homepage compiler, like LaTeX is a text compiler or VideoPad a video compiler. Meaning that LaTeX transforms text code into a PDF file and VideoPad transforms Video design input into an MP4 file. In my Homepage I use HTML like LaTeX source code, which is interpreted from any Browser to show the content. But modern Homepages are programmed in PHP instead of old fashioned HTML. With PHP you get modern designs with high functionality. But PHP is a C-like and complex programing language. For an beginner difficult to use. If I had a Tool, which let me design the Homepage like inside a WYSIWYG-Editior and can than export it to either HTML or PHP, I can learn from the produced PHP code, how to use PHP to generate modern Internet code. With growing understanding, I can start to programm own PHP code derived from the Designtool output. But does such an HTML/PHP generation tool exists ? WordPress works like Facebook. You can design a Homepage. But not by generating own and local PHP code, but to use an external service system not in full own control and property. But I want to have complete own and local control over my Homepage stuff. Also for any on disk tutorials an HTML/PHP creation tool could be worthfull. Having a GUI surface and generate local HTML, PHP and perhaps Javs script etc. code in complete own control, this would be interesting.
