When I was in school a million years ago, we learned to use "available light, " which according to our professor was any light that was available, on scene or in his trunk. He also preached, "You cannot create light if you cannot first see light." Man, you see light better than most. You speak humbly, but your work shows your true mastery. Keep doin what you're doin.

Man, you may not consider yourself a cinematographer but you're a natural talent in creating moving imagery. Keep advancing in the craft cause you really got the eye for it.

I just want to say thank you so much! I learned so much in 10 minutes, much more than other videos that I've seen here.

“It’s not going to be perfect, just make things” is a motto that really freed me from my worries. Love that.

I have been watching your lighting videos on a loop while working with my a7iii. I really appreciate your insight and am so excited to grow as a film maker.

Just like John, my college photography teacher, always said, “It’s all about the light” 🌞

Super useful stuff! I've said it multiple times, your lighting, colors and compositions are elite. 🔥🔥 Thank you for showing the process.

The part at the end when you apologized if the viewer didn’t get anything useful from your vid really shows your humility 👍

its so true what you say about "just doing" things even if you don´t own the best gear etc. !

I'm from Brazil, sorry if the English is not correct, I translated using Google Translate.

Anyway, you are very good at teaching and passing your eyes on the footage, many things I see on your channel, are things that took me a LONG time to learn and you manage to make everything very clear and simplified.

Congratulations on the message about not getting lost in the pursuit of perfection.

I'm a fan of the channel, I hope it continues forever! I'm sure it will grow much more!

I make music and I decided I'm gonna start filming my own videos. I can't thank you enough for the constant gems. You make this easy to understand. Esp for someone like me, who's not a pro.

Studying for my midterm and a new Vuh project dropped... smh Imma pick a new vuhlandes video over an exam every time unfortunately... lol Another great video! Insightful too, I have so much trouble with lighting and own one of those Flag/ diffuser / reflector things and had no idea how to use it. lol

you are such an inspiration, so glad I found your channel, so much precious information and I really like your attitude towards just starting to create and not try to overcomplicate things, this really motivates big time, thank you so much

This is a fantastic term, the cinematic trinagle - really nice phrase to keep in the head and work with.
