This is my best attempt at an instructional video for changing the oil in a 2015 Ford Mustang GT. A lot of the principles here apply for any oil change for any car. I hope this helps out at least 1 other person. Enjoy!

I'm done with the stealership and their oil changes. Doing my own and came to YT for some How To's. This was the video I wanted to see. The video over on CJ Pony Parts is full of douche bag hard rockin' guitar, and the guy ends up spilling oil all over the place. So you get a thumbs up.

Never use a wrench on the K&N filter for installation. It’s for removal. You risk breaking the welds and causing a leak.

I’m trying out royal purple filter. With mobile 1 extended performance, I do change at 3-5k miles not 15k lol, but I use the extended performance because it is 100% synthetic. Marketing the regular mobile 1 as a “full synthetic” is a loop hole actually. The extended performance is supposed to be the one that is legit 100% synthetics

Nice vid, you look familiar are you in the AF? Anyhow my question was did you secure the wood to the ramps I am having clearing issues driving the car onto the ramps I am thinking doing something similar just not sure if you secure the pieces of wood to the ramps or just had it laying on top was that 2 by 4 or what size of wood did you use? Thanks in advance!

Oil filters are supposed to be hand tight only anyways

My 2015 Roush RS3 performance pack has the flap, just remove the 8mm screw and it folds down.

Very informative for the middle aged yuppie who's never turned a wrench.. oil is icky!

Should use fresh oil to lubricate the filter ring. Never know what microscopic debris and shavings may be in that old oil that could cause a gap in the filter seal. FYI

Ahhh... you gotta tear the underside of the car apart to get to the oil filter? Fuck. Ford...
Makin it a pain in the ass to work on Mustangs? Guess I’m gonna stick with 2011 and below models... Or move to Chevy...
