This is really helpful becaus ei have been procastinating a lot becasue i always feel like makeing masterpieces and my sketches look horrible and i wanna do realism so sketches usually end up non realistic for really helped me to learn how to sketch...thank you so much!

For pencil and paper l always use the cheap ones and thay turn aut so good love you

I mainly use 2B pencil. Either drawing, painting, even sketching since school reccomend 2B pencils as you can see it more easily than HB pencils (the big exception is when there are exams). I also blend using my hand directly since I mainly use tissue for my constant colds 😂 lol

While I have these pencils, I have never really understood what to do with them other than make lighter or darker shades, and usually end up forgetting to use them at all. My school was super poor and we often didn't have art, but when we did we used nothing but No. 2 pencils. It helped me to learn how to make the most of what I had, but boy, I wish our whole art budget hadn't had to go for copy paper to draw on! I keep seeing how much I missed. Oh, and we were taught to use our fingers to smudge, so I'm glad you cleared that up! It makes sense about the oils; I'd just never thought about it.

I’ve began sketching a page in my sketchbook everyday and sometimes it looks horrible but I just let it go and tell myself that there’s always tomorrow and that as long as I keep at it then when I finish the sketchbook which will be around April I will see a difference and look back and question how I ever did sketches as bad as some of the ones I’m doing now. She has some good advice within that. Honestly just have fun and let it be what it is and sometimes you just gotta let it go because it won’t get better especially as a beginner that’s an important thing to remember.
