Pre-Algebra Lesson #29 Simplifying Fractions | Reducing Fractions to Lowest Terms

In this lesson, we will learn how to simplify a fraction, which is also known as reducing a fraction to its lowest terms. Basically, we can factor the numerator and denominator completely and then cancel all common factors other than 1 or -1. This will lead to a simplified fraction. Additionally, we may find it faster to simply find the GCF of the numerator and denominator and then divide both the numerator and denominator by the GCF.
