Do you think Samsung’s persistence with 8K and anti-glare will pay off?

All I want is a good display. They can keep the AI data harvester out of my living room.

*Samsung has Vision... just not Dolby Vision* 🤣😭

Another great video!

Honestly, no DV is no big deal. To me their stubbornness with the anti-glare coating hurts their top of the line TVs much, much more.

I have always bought Samsung tvs and been very satisfied with them. I’m not a tv nerd I just know mine have always lasted a very long time with no issues. I want a bigger 85” now, but want to do it on a budget. I watch OTA most of the time so I’m looking for the 3.0 tuner and it seems that Hisense is the only one that has the updated tuner on a budget large tv. I’m assuming that the new Samsung still doesn’t have the upgraded tuner.

I hope 8K takes off, this year I upgraded feom a 65" to an 85" and I can tell 4K is already stretched too thin at this size. At 75" it looks fine, but the pictures lack the same sharpness at 85

They fool me back in 2013, lesson learned when I buy a tv I care only of the picture quality.

The main problem I have with 8K TVs is that it doesn't upscale output from consoles like Xbox Series X or PS5 to 8K or even output from a gaming PC. Heck I would buy one if it did a simple upscale from 4K to 8K but it literally doesn't.

Tizen OS is already buckling under its own weight, adding even more bloatware to the mix? Gonna be a fun time....

Samsung should have made the QN900F a QN800F, and released a version of the QN990F with a normal One Connect Box as the QN900F.

I have a 50"QN90F coming this Thursday. Sucks no one makes good tv's at this size (and at the 43" size) but Samsung. I have a 55"QN90C in my game room which is still a very good tv. Gonna move it to my bedroom since my Sony died. I mainly game on PC and console with it, which I will do with QN90F as well.

I spoke to a Samsung rep once, he said the big reason why they still do 8k has to do image quality on large screens. Hence why you only see 8k on 65+ size tvs

All I'm interested in is what the DSE/Banding and blooming is like. I returned my QE55QN95D, it was pants.

“Samsung as a vision and they see it through” no kidding, like never fixing their motion issues would be the first thing I would do if I was Samsung instead of keep making new TV’s, start at the beginning as motion is the most basic important thing a TV needs to do.

I have a S95D and firmware 1301 as made the motion worse than it was before and now after a year I am considering going LG G5 after waiting for them to fix this problem, but I guess they are too busy making more TVs instead.

I'm glad I just bought QN90f before any price hikes and supply issue come about.

TV last a long time, so I can avoid those price hikes until 10 years from now to buy a new TV in the 2030s.

Hey Caleb! In the pilot episode, Harvey uses a VPI Super Scoutmaster turntable and PrimaLuna ProLogue Two integrated tube amp, but in later episodes, he uses a Pro-Ject RPM 1.3 turntable
