Doesn't matter if it's Narcan or Suboxone...

Precipitated withdrawal is painful.

But don't let problems from your past stop the progress of today.

I killed myself in jail cell. Forced withdrawal. I am not ok. PTSD MAJOR.

Week before jail, sold me crushed subutex as fentanyl. INSTANT! 36 hrs. agony.

Yo. I am traumatized from my precip experience. I’ve been on methadone for six years, relapsed, was overdosing and had to narcan myself.

I began to have delusions and extreme pain. Living hell. I thought I was dying and screaming bloody murder. It’s the worst pain I’ve ever experienced in my life.

When i saw the title i laughed out loud PTSD? Then i remembered my induced withdrawal. Took 10 year of methadone to build my head up strong enough to quit or swap but the fear of my prior experience really had me rattled . So i just jumped back into precip withdrawel. But they gave me a week of tex to ease the pain😂. I mean the drug itself without the naloxone will still hurt. But its worth it.

I was 48 hours in and still had the most severe precipitated withdrawals in my life. I've been on suboxone again for 9 months but with fentanol I'd suggest 72 hours

I think it definitely can cause ptsd. I was given suboxone too early in a medical detox facility and experienced precipitated withdrawal. it absolutely was traumatic, I had seizures and I couldn't stop soiling myself and vomiting. The nurses couldn't help, and didn't have me transferred to the hospital for the seizures. it was many years ago and I still can't think about it without having pretty bad anxiety. I've been on Methadone since and I haven't been able to get all the way off or switch to suboxone because I'm afraid of that happening again. I'm not sure whether I should try because I still have a chronic illness and will need some kind of pain relief, and I'm functional on Methadone. But maybe I'm just afraid, I don't know. I just have so much fear and anxiety about it.

You seem like a great guy Dr. From my experience I’d say you need to wait between 48 and 60 hrs and even then you must ease into it 1mg at a time like you say.
It’s real easy to take too much at first and once you do you are going for a ride not soon forgotten ! Anyone who thinks it’s too hard holding out 50 or 60 hrs before they introduce the Suboxone needs to bear down and be tough because the alternative is a nightmare of epic proportions! Also.... 1mg may not seem like much of a dose in order to make oneself feel relief and it’s not. However, it’s a massive dose if taken too early and plenty strong to make you sick as a dog!
Be well everyone and God Bless 🙏🏻

Id wait more then 36 for dope to get on sub, wait 48. If on methadone wait 72. I know how tough it can be to wait and counting down the minutes, but it can get so much worse that it is hard to describe. Save your mind, (you will fuck it up if you do not wait, you think withdrawels bad right now? Please just wait) WAIT.

Great video. This will even recreate symptoms that are purely from anxiety. Mimic syndrome i call it.

Predominantly Dr park I've been through all you've described in your addiction recovery videos, I forward these to "recovering addicts" discord in Utah, they serve as medical conformation that people are basically on the right track and help in the recovery of many people.

Big thank you Dr park, god bless : ).

These days with loperamide and fentanyl, people will go into precipitated w/d unless you wait 72 hours.
