Not negating the struggle and the road to success is very human. It is the joy our divinities want us to arrive at. I just wanted to say how much this song means to me personally. The first time I heard it I cried, and then I listened to it about a dozen more times. I'll keep my story short, but recently I got really sick and ended up in the hospital. At only 31 years old I came close to losing my life, and ended up receiving a heart valve replacement. It was nothing I could have prevented, and there is nothing I could have done differently, which almost makes it harder to accept, but what you said about things happening and not knowing why they have happened really resonated with me. I have been a huge fan of yours since I was a kid and your music has seen me through a few heartbreaks, a lot of good times, and now this life-altering moment that seems to go on forever. But music is my saving grace, and I'm grateful to artists like you who know how to put out music that connects on a deeper level. I can't imagine what the people of the Virgin Islands have gone through and are still going through, but I understand the feeling of confusion and devastation when your world is turned upside down, and I just have to say thank you for recording this song...for them, for me, for anyone going through a difficult time. I almost lost my dad a few years ago to attempted suicide. I heard this song after visiting him in the hospital, he had his heartbroken by a woman he thought he'd spend the rest of his life with and didn't think he would ever be happy again. My dad is and has always been a very strong, responsible, independent, very successful man that's never needed help from anyone, he's the one that helps everyone else. I love you daddy and I'm so happy you found a new hope in living life to the fullest, you have so much to live for and I'm so grateful you figured that out before it was too late . Your a amazing Man, son, brother, friend, the world's best dad and last but definitely not least a truly amazing Papa (grandpa). We love you and I will forever think of you when I hear this song. And Kenny's voice is my all-time favorite singing voice. It's also, in my opinion, very calming. I am in love with this song. It hits me right in the feels!
