Man With Golf Club Stops USPS from Delivering Mail

Weather may not stop the Postal Service, but a man with a golf club might. The residents of a Santa Monica, California, block are no longer getting mail delivery, because “Multiple carriers have been subjected to assaults and threats of assault from an individual who has not been located or apprehended,” according to the USPS. An investigation is ongoing, and The U.S. Postal Service has not provided a date when delivery will resume.

Whoever the guy is to inflict such an assault on any mail carrier is just plain asinine to every extent.

Kind of weird how everyone they ask to give an opinion about the situation seems to say something negative about the post office instead of acknowledging the issue at hand. Maybe that lady should volunteer to deliver mail to the guy with the golf club since it's apparently not a big deal.

I actually respect their decision. If I saw a man running to me with a golf club looking like he is about to hit me as if I was a golf ball, I would run faster than the speed of light and never return to that area until further notice.

It's not stoping people from picking up their mail at the post office, you know, like it use to be. I grew up in a small town where all you had was the P.O. Box in the office.

This happens often. I work for the postal service and we would stop mail for an entire neighborhood if one dog was on the street. This is only news because it's in a well known area, and not in the middle of nowhere.
