Fun fact, the famous 'killing claw' of raptors isn't unique to their group! In particular, two other dinosaurs had similar claws, but with two on each foot. The flightless dino-bird Balaur- initially mistaken for a true raptor- had two raptor-like claws on the outside of its foot to help with grabbing, perching, and possibly pinning small prey (as its pot-belly and other such features suggest it was either a herbivore or an omnivore), while a distant relative of Carnotaurus called Vespersaurus had one raptor-like claw on each side of its single walking toe, which it held raised like those of true raptors, and might have used for digging. The 'killing claw' of raptors themselves was probably used as a piercing or hooking tool, to help grip branches and small animals, or dig deep into larger ones.

I love how dinosaurs are portrayed as animals with family groups and not ravenous monsters

Breathtaking! Needs to get hired by BBC for a remake of the old dinosaur documentations!

We see a level of beauty and majesty in these videos that is unequalled anywhere. It would be awesome and fitting for Julian to be hired by the BBC to make feature length films about dinosaurs. The entire world would be captivated beyond words! 😇

I love the natural feeling you placed for the Early Cretaceous. Makes it much more real and how it blends well with these animals.

These designs on the Deinonychus looked surprisingly good. Quite reminiscent of what some people at the 80's would imagine what feathered dromaeosaurs look like.

Beautiful, Julien! I can't get over how well you did the feathering on the raptors, especially on the ends of their tails. Supposedly, with all the money they had behind the Jurassic Park/World franchise, they didn't create feathers because it would be too difficult, too time-consuming, and too expensive! And here look at what you've been able to do. Fantastic!!

These really have gone far beyond tech demos and into real works of art. Fantastic job, as always.

Amazing work. This vision of reptiles with their feathers is incredible. The atmosphere and the vegetation of a high level.

Beautifully well done as always!!!! I like how you positioned the camera angles to emphasize the size of the Brachiosaurus.

This seems visionary to the point of eluding conventional categorization. It's an inspired work of art.

What an unexpected surprise! The moment when the sauropods are seen through the mist was exceptionally lovely. Terrific music too. Thanks!

Another wonderful video full of jaw dropping detail. The only thing I question are the sound effects- specifically the night-time chirping crickets. If the time of year is meant to be late winter or early spring, then they wouldn't be active, especially when snow and frost was on the ground.
I loved watching the pack almost tip toe past the sleeping Acros, and seeing the sauropods from the raptors; perspective was stunning. It's easy to forget that many raptor species were about our size, or somewhat smaller, whereas many other genera were way, way bigger. Seeing the sauropods from the raptors' viewpoint makes you realise just how huge the big plant eaters really were!
