The entire set design in this scene, the big room with the overhead lights, the tables, and the fact that it's in black and white, give me serious Dr. Strangelove vibes.

Before the finale, I was wondering how the show would end. It really could only end in one of three ways, logically thinking it: saul gets caught, saul gets away with it, or saul voluntarily turns himself in. None of these options felt like a satisfactory end for his character arc. If he got caught, it would be uninteresting because it wasn't his own decision and he hasn't learned anything. If he just gets away with it, he still hasn't learned anything. If he just turned himself in, it wouldn't be quite as powerful because it would be a bit like him giving up after being on the run so long rather than a true desire to make amends. But then they went ahead and blew our minds and made it ALL THREE. First he gets caught, then he gets away with it, then he turns himself in anyways. This combination was the PERFECT end for his character arc because it shows he truly let himself be punished under his own volition, after giving us one last satisfying Saul Goodman miracle.

In no scene does Bill find a vending machine with junk food to hand over his paycheck to.

He began his career in prison, and he ended his career in prison. If he'd stayed in prison all along, so many people would be alive today; including his brother Chuck.
Ironically, it was his brother's compassion for him that allowed him to get out and do all this.

On the other hand, if Chuck hadn't made a late night call and sabotaged Jimmy's one chance to prove himself as a lawyer, maybe all of this wouldn't have happened either.

This scene and the prison bus scene were my favorite in the episode. Great way to end one of the best series ever 🔥

I noticed the protagonists in Breaking Bad universe are always screwing up the kindest people to their life in the end:

Walt blackmailed Gretchen and Elliot for betraying him (which honestly he deserved it) in the form of Gray Matter by giving their payment to Walt Jr. Until he goes to college by hiring 2 greatest hitmen from Missisippi
Jesse made a phone call to his parents one last time to make sure they're okay and he's also okay and never tell them that he's going to Alaska with a new life and new identity
Saul chooses Oakley as his lawyer only for him to backstab him in the court by confessing himself hence Oakley lose his case
