My favourite part is when grian said "it's purging time"

Cub being on holiday during the great purge just proves he was born for the role of Permit Manager.

7:05 "I found this build particulary difficult. Mentally, mentally difficult."
It's because there was no back for you to ignore

I learnt about modernist architecture this week at uni, and my lecturer showed us some pre-modernist ornamental architecture, one student asked what the back looked like - the buildings were all photographed from the front - he said “we don’t talk about the back. It’s the back. No one goes there.” And all I could think of was Grian.

I can't believe they purged Mumbo's Extremely Permanent Iron Shop. This truly was The Purge (2013) moment.

i think it’s so funny how grian is talking about how copper is too easy to get now and no one feels the need to to buy it anymore… meanwhile in mumbo’s most recent episode he’s happily buying tons of copper and even pleasantly surprised by the fact that they were pre-waxed :P

Just from the intro I knew that every comment was going to say something along the lines of "I loved it when Grian said it's purging time and purged all over the place"

Grian: "im trying out a new editing style with less cutting and a longer video, tell my what you think."
Everyone: "we love it"
Grian: doesnt do it again.

The absolute offense at the chicken machine killed me xD

19:12 Does anyone else giggle a bit at the irony of Grian complaining about potatoes being somewhere they shouldn't be?

My opinion on the copper economy:

Expensive blocks don't get used as building materials by the average player. They're a flex, or squirreled away in a chest somewhere. I think making copper more accessible without the use of a drowned farm was part of the goal, because it's another method of getting the player to explore during the early / midgame experience that's very different from the other tasks at that level. It also encourages players to use the cartographer more, and see the other specialty maps they may have ignored (especially with the coming changes to villager distribution).

Cont.
In making copper more abundant, they're encouraging the player to experiment with a beautiful block- perhaps one of the most versatile ones added to Minecraft. But this also adds value to the block created from raw ore, in the same way raw gold is inherently more valuable as an overworld exclusive.

10:30 that comedic timing of complimenting Tango before seeing the chicken burn and taking it back are why I love Grian humor.

For the water transition, you could open the windows, or a couple, sponge the area outside so the water slopes down like a plug, creating inside waterfalls

“This might be the longest I’ve spent on a single build this season” Grian I think you’re forgetting the Chamber of Seacritters.

Ideas for the prismarine palace:
- Add some giant (glowing?) prismarine crystals jutting out of the water around the palace.
- Add a couple smaller dome buildings next to the main building.
- Use blue glass & lowered water levels to make a whirlpool sort of thing around the palace.

Man, I’d love to see a few things in this build.
1. Ruining it a little bit, making it look like time and the ocean has taken its toll on this ancient temple structure.
2. Flood it. Make the water level of the ocean and the inside of the build match to really sell the flooded idea. You could even dangle a conduit from the ceiling to make swimming around in the build more fun.
3. History. When you do make an interior it’d be so fun to see some shrines for what used to be places of worship in ancient times… now where you keep your stock. I think the idea of this ancient temple being revisited in modern times and turned into a stereotyped shop for prismarine… bc it’s made of prismarine.

Edit: new idea, around the sides where the ocean meets the temple, some greenery, like moss or sea weed that’s got caught up against the temples rough edges, and under the water surface maybe some barnacles

As a huge Taskmaster fan, Grian is the perfect person to act as Little Alex Horne.
