25 minutes of my life, and we couldn’t even see the finished product

Hey, the E-Stop should really be in a position where even the legs, maybe your knee, can reach it. In case you get stuck with a hand or sth the last thing you want to do is reach foreward to reach it with the other hand and getting close to the spinning wheel. Multiple options to reach it would be best

1:17 correction Logitech Pro is a DD wheel, also the wheel you are using is most likely a G920 which is gear driven. [G923 would have a blue ring]

I absolutely love iRacing. I got into it about a year ago and now it’s all I want to spend money on lol. Streaming it is so much fun. Sim racing is very addicting

As someone who has driven on many sims, it is fantastic to see Jay go into detail and explain all the levels of equipment, between the humble beginnings of a G920 to hydraulic pedals and DD wheels it's great to see him education people.

When your racing sim costs more than your real car, you're a true gamer.

If no one mentioned it, put the seat AND pedals on seat sliders... way easier for adjustments.

I just dropped $5k on a Simagic rig. I think this hobby is really going to take off this year. I hope we see some more simcade games with great physics, like GT7, with fun career modes to get people the skills to compete as well as fun muliti-player. It's a lot more forgiving and enjoyable than dropping into Assetto Corso and failing constantly (though they have a new career mode as well I've learned). The real issue with sim racing games is the massive player drop-off after launch, it seems long term sim racers always trend back to the old tried and true games rather than the new stuff. I really hope next year has some great stuff because this year forza, wrc and the crew were all pretty disappointing on launch for all the hype they had. I have hope for wrc but knowing how long it took dirt 2.0 to get to where its at and the fact that it's more fun has me trending back to the old tried and true whenever I boot up the pc.

there is plastic made to fill those aluminium groove, usually for cnc to not collect to much dust, but it could make it look more finished and hide the grub screw mark. Usually it's called v-slot cover, the only issue would be to find the right colour.
From what i see, the tower could interfere with the screen support, it seem like an overview or maybe it's just the video that flatten the perspective.
Can't wait to see you guy do some race :)

Don't use NV Surround for triples! Almost every sim these days support independent triples for a proper FOV for each individual monitor. A quick search and you'll find the proper settings.

I would love to see a full comparison between triple monitors and VR once you get this all set up! Keep the Sim Racing content coming!!

That was a Logitech G923 on display which is basically a G920/G29 with trueforce and they are all gear driven which is notchy, the Logitech PRO Racing wheel which was in the bigger boxes on the right and also has trueforce but is direct drive, also pedals can either use potentiometers or load cells for the brakes which can also make a huge difference in pressure required, consistency and realism

7:19 Those pedals on the display rig are the HE Ultimate Pedals, not the HE Sprints, not the same. Also if you flip the side mount seat brackets around and put the 4 hole side towards your pedals, you can get more rake on the seat.

I saw ultimate and thought "here we go" sarcastically until they actually went with an 80/20 rig, simucube, and GSI wheel. They could do plenty more but it's not necessary to have a great experience.

When moving the SIM rig around it is important to steer it with the steering wheel

Please please please start including sim racing games in hardware review tests. Including a triple screen setup, absolutely no one else is doing it and it'd help massively for anyone else who has a triple screen setup or is thinking of getting one.

Love seeing the sim racing stuff on the channel. You REALLY need to give some oval racing a chance in iRacing. It gets really intense and is very fun. I have a Simagic Alpha Ultimate and I love it. Having over 20nm of torque sounds like overkill but it’s nice to have that extra dynamic range for those things that give sharp jolts like curbs and wrecks. Plus the stronger motors tend to have more detail in the smaller effects too. I also have the Sprint pedals and they have been great but I think I’m going to try the Simagic P1000 pedals next with the hydraulic brake and the actuators for traction control, ABS, and such. Nothing like turning off the lights in a triple monitor rig and doing some wheel to wheel racing.

I just dropped $10k on a sim rig and am waiting on back ordered parts. I live 20 miles from a Micro Center. I had no idea they sold this stuff.

Also, GT seats on sim rigs look ridiculous.
