Bri'Anne Parkin travels to Uganda to work in a child development center. She knows the children personally and has witnessed the positive outcomes of those that have been sponsored throughout their education. Bri'Anne sponsors four children, and she has seen their lives drastically impacted because they've been given a chance at a brighter future.

Bri'Anne Parkin is a 2015 honors graduate of Marylhurst University. She has spent the past three years traveling and volunteering, particularly in an orphanage in Uganda, East Africa. After she graduated, she moved to Uganda for three months to develop her new position as the Child Sponsorship Advocacy Director for the NGO Transforming Uganda. Bri'Anne is passionate about advocating for the children she knows and cares about in Uganda and considers this her dream job.

You are an angel. I have been inspired to sponsor a child during this pandemic. I’m a nurse and have two children of my own and it’s been a tough year during the pandemic and I still can’t be with my fiancé who’s in Maharashtra India. India is dealing with a horrendous humanitarian crisis and it’s breaking my heart and I’m physically and emotionally exhausted. I’ve just sponsored a child and you’re absolutely right. When you’re sad and stressed and anxious, looking after others really really helps. I’m sure that this child will help me just as much as I will help her ❤️ I can see this getting addictive. For people wondering which organization she’s affiliated with it’s Transforming Uganda.

In the past years I have worked with many organizations, who claimed to support children sponsored through their organizations. Needless to say, the organizations were not very organized, dishonest and the children did not receive the items they claimed to purchase for the children. Initially, with one organization they sent a photo of a different child holding up items supposedly purchased with the funds that I had sent to support this child.

I do not have belief in these organizations, and decided to sponsor children on my own.

The owners of several of those organizations lived in the U.S. They are not honest and my belief they are liars and do not care about the children they claim to support.
I am not saying all organizations but the ones that I tried to work with are not honest.

If you know for certain that there is a girl age 12 and up that I can sponsor, please advise me. I no longer trust organizations. Sad but very true.
