I say this respectfully at the age of 39 also because I was diagnosed with bipolar at 19 years of age, over 20 years ago. Great tips! Emotion is such a funny thing - it’s really what controls you, if you’re able to get a handle on it - your life will totally change.

The human brain is divided into three parts. Logical: that’s when you’re thinking clearly, and you can tell the difference between right and wrong.

Then you have Emotional: That’s when you’re not being Logical, and your emotion is basically in the driver’s seat - that’s when people do a lot of stupid things, and regret them afterwards when they sober up, and they’re logical again.

The term you are looking for is 'impartial'. When a person is not swayed into conflict or emotionally disrupted by the hysterics of those around them. That does not mean 'indifference', which suggests that the person is simply switched off and doesn't really care about the outcome.
