The trouble is you can't believe a word Boris says. He is playing games and it's difficult to know what he will stick to and what he is lying about.

If you look at how Boris got some of his previous Brexit related bills through the UK Parliament he left it to the very last second so that the MP's were in a very difficult position and had no other option other than to vote for his bill. Boris kept secrets and continuously tried to deceive Parliament.

Boris is up to something and he is only interested in his own personal gain. Boris and his friends will earn personal fortunes from Brexit and selling out the UK.

So the EU has to negotiate with him without trusting anything he says, that is difficult.
