First there was a dead end. Now, there’s a "narrow path" to a Brexit deal. That's according to the European Union's chief Brexit negotiator, Michel Barnier.

He told EU ambassadors in Brussels that there had been some progress on the three remaining areas of disagreement - fisheries, fair competition and how to enforce the agreement.

But some MEPs are now questioning whether there's enough time left for the European Parliament to ratify a deal before the end of the year.

Sorry but the UK can't accept a level playing field where everything must be slow and bureaucratic

If Britain gets any deal it will be an encouragement to other nations to leave the EU also. Don't do it Europe.

Most people in the EU don't even want a deal with UK.

People forget the pain Brexit causes. One of my son runs amanufacturing business where 80% of his production goes to Europe, he will sadly have to lay people off in the New Year. They will have a bleak Christmas worrying what the future holds for them. Not much cheer for these victims of Brexit. This is just and example of the hundreds and thousands of people who will lose their job through a No Deal Brexit. The Brexiters may announce the wonderful future for Britain outside the EU, but when it comes to reality their cheap rhetoric becames meaningless to those who will face poverty and an uncertain future . Lets just think about the "small" people whose lives will undoubtedly be wrecked . It is easy for the Farage's of the world to pontificate about Europe but they are not paying the price of Brexit, unlike so many of their fellow country men and women will. Yes lets think about those who will sit this Christmas struck down by worry for themselves and family.

I am sure that Rees Mogg and his cronies are making plenty of deals, betting against sterling and British businesses - all with the advantage of knowing what the end result will be.

...If there was such thing available as a European Passport, I would be one of the first to sign up for it...

Yes there is but it won't be ratified for a couple months so deal or no deal the UK will experience no deal for a time

Surely one way to stop a LOT of emissions is to stop all these meandering supply chains and incentivise local production

Transition period ends at year’s end. If no deal so be it. Brexit is Brexit, it cannot be stopped.

Hitting back against the UK may well trigger a no deal in the future.

This is as potent a threat as is the UKs to deploy the Navy to avert foreign fisher boats.

Better to get it done now than wait for the EU to have a tantrum.

No deal now. Full team ahead, damm the torpedos.

I love how they make story about Bentley and forgetting about Rolls Royce... oh wait...
Vauxhall?? Nope. Nissan, Toyota?? Mini is gone for long time now. Defender is built in Slovakia now and needs to pay tariffs to enter UK. Ineos is some sort of joke now.
Aha, , found it;- Bentley, Morgan, MG, Jaguar, Aston Martin and MC laren. Congratulation brits, now you gonna drive in style, if you can afford it.

When a strange smell came from Boris's oven whilst cooking his Xmas turkey, he noticed that on the wrapping the turkey came in was written in large red letters. THIS BIRD IS NOT OVEN READY.

I don't have problems with Brexiteers wanting to leave. You guys are completely free to do so, you honestly were never really on board for the whole EU thing, and there is plenty of bad things about EU, but I absolutely hate when they lie to them selves the red bus 138 million £ (or whatever was the number) a week sent to the EU. Yeah, that was a lie. Please, if you want to leave EU just because you don't like our atupid faces, hey, that's cool, just don't manipulate facts etc.
