I lived in more than 1 of those houses you drove by, I stopped counting after 5. I never thought they were the worst neighborhoods in Tulsa.

Born and raised in Tulsa. I’d walk around the north side with no problems. Wouldn’t do the same in Detroit or Chicago. In fact the church in your first shot is a place I’ve explored. Our hoods are not really hoods in comparison to other places. You can live in a Tulsa “hood” and have a very great life.

The worst parts of Tulsa in my opinion are 1.) From the East ege of downtown to 145th East avenue and from 15th street North to Pine street. 2.) West Tulsa 3.) North Tulsa from the East edge of sand springs East to US 169/the Mingo valley expressway not including collinsville or Owasso and from I-244 North to 100th street North 4.) East Tulsa from Darlington to 177th East ave.and from 51st street South North to I-244. 5) the 51st/61st and Peoria area from I-44 and peoria South to the Arkansas River and form Riverside Drive/parkway East to Harvard.

Admiral and harvard/ 11th street aren’t bad hoods.

Should have shown more of the deeper north side, 30’s, 40’s, 50’s.
Suburban acres, Frankfort and garrison block.
Seminole hills, Comanche park, Apache manor, st Thomas square, 61st and Peoria.

Most of this video is just around admiral blvd.

East Tulsa needs a ride through too. It’s improving in looks, but over the past decade, it’s had a spurt in activity. It’s mostly multiethnic with Native, Latino, Asian and black working class people but growing up in the 21st & Garnett area, it’s not hard to get into or find trouble if you’re involved or active.

Cincinnati, Peoria from pine to 51st st. North and apache mannor is the hood in tulsa. You're just scratching the north side. Lived at pine street and Birmingham all through my 20s. Good hood then.

You need to go north north. Like around 30, 40, 50 street. My brother and mom lived around 15 street. They hear gun shots a lot but told me it’s nowhere near as bad up north

The least you could do is let us know which part of town you are in. North Tulsa, South Tulsa, West or EAST.

A house does not make a home, people and family and love make a home. It does not make a difference where you live.people live according to economics.you should know that better than anyone look how you have to live

Tulsa seems getting worse, Why The First 48 been airing there in the last over 5 years. Looks like the Hood of Indianapolis.

Looks like the place you would have fond memories growing up. Family is what makes a home not the area code. Redlining put you there, don’t be ashamed of where you come from.
