Is it intended to keep the bike out of the weather more than anything else ? I mean kerp it out of the sun or rain.
I could see this making sense in a back yard situation where you have a side entrance to your property by way of a gate. Also maybe you could cut a hole in the bottom so the bike can still be anchored to the ground with a chain.
